Music Lesson Preparation
Things to know before starting music lessons
-
Instrument-YES- You should plan to have an instrument for practice; it doesn't need to be fancy and can be a beginner-level instrument. Feel free to contact our team if you need any professional suggestions in choosing the instrument.
-
Practice Expectation- Aim to practice 2-3 times a week for great progress!
-
Schedule- Consistent schedule is really important- When practice and lessons are part of a balanced (not over-packed!) schedule, a student will expect and feel ready for these activities and have a much easier time learning.
-
Making music should be FUN! Music should be a source of enjoyment throughout your life. Avoid setting unrealistic expectations for yourself or your children to learn too quickly. Everyone learns at their own pace, and the important thing is to enjoy the journey.
