What We Offer

Further Music Summer Camp is a structured, performance-focused program designed for students ages 5–12 who want to grow in musical skill, creativity, and confidence.Each week combines major-based music training, rotating creative labs, premier Friday field experiences, and a live family showcase — all in small, focused groups.

 

This is not a drop-in camp.
It’s an immersive artistic experience built for real growth.

  • Level-based piano instruction

  • Rehearsal & stage skillsMelody, chords & song structure

What students Learn:

  • Play in small bands

  • Perform band pieces or originals on Friday

  • Groove & timing

  • Listening & coordination

 

What students Learn:

  • Play drum set & percussion instruments

  • Learn core grooves

  • Perform rhythm ensemble pieces on Friday

  • Age & Levels: Ages 5–12 | All Levels Welcome. Students are grouped to support both social comfort (age) and musical growth (experience and confidence). No prior music experience is required.

  • Location: Further Music School – Queens Location

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (each week is standalone)9:00 am-3:00 pm

  • Enrollment: Families may enroll in any individual week(s) or all weeks

  • Instruments: Provided as neede, students may bring their own (optional)

  • Performance: Every week ends with a family concert

  • What to Bring: Lunch; Snack; Water bottle;Comfortable clothes & sneakers

  • One Primary Concentration — Focused daily learning

  • Rotating Music Labs — Explore other areas like theater, songwriting, and ensemble practice

  • Ensemble / Project Time — Rehearsal & performance prep

  • Friday Celebration — Field trip, outdoor music games, and the family concert
