Course Description

Further Performance Company is a music-first musical theater and live band production experience where young musicians work together as Company Members to bring an original stage production to life. Unlike traditional musical theater, music comes first. Company Members explore instruments, perform in a live band and ensemble, sing, act, tell stories, and develop stage confidence while working together toward Opening Night. Full Production Experience: • Live band & ensemble performance • Piano, drums, guitar, percussion & voice • Singing, acting, storytelling & movement • Original music and stage production • Creative collaboration & stage confidence • Roles designed around each student’s strengths Ages 5–12 | Beginner–Intermediate No acting or musical theater experience is required. Students may join whether they are new to music or already study an instrument. Every Company Member has a meaningful role in the production. Season One: The Music Machine Fall 2026 — The Music Machine: The Awakening Deep inside Further Music School sits a mysterious invention called The Music Machine. One day, it stops working—not because it is broken, but because it has forgotten what truly brings music to life. Company Members embark on a musical journey to awaken the Machine through instruments, live music, creativity, performance, and teamwork. Full Production Includes: • 10 weekly 90-minute production rehearsals • 2 extended dress rehearsals • Opening Night live production • Scripts & production materials • Performance video • Professional group photo • Certificate of Participation Production Fee: $650 per Company Member Forest Hills | Ages 5–12 | Sundays 2:00–3:30 PM One Company.
