Leo Khudyak

Piano Instructor

Leo Khudyak was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and is a professional classical pianist of 20+ years. He began taking piano lessons at age five and was accepted into Juilliard MAP Program.  In 2009, Leo was invited to join the pre-college division of The Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

 

Leo continued his studies at Manhattan School of Music for the next four years under Joanne Polk. After having graduated the pre-college program, Leo moved on to study at Purchase Conservatory of Music. While at Purchase, Leo studied under Paul Ostrovsky, receiving his Bachelor’s in 2012 and his Master’s in 2014.

 

Leo has participated in many competitions, given recitals and appeared as a soloist. He participated in the American Protégé Competition in 2012 and was nominated to perform in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Leo returned to Carnegie Hall a few years later in 2017, when he performed a solo recital at the world-renowned Weill Recital Hall. Recently, Leo graduated SUNY Purchase with a double masters degrees – Piano Performance and Entrepreneurship in the Arts. He is currently teaching private piano lessons and is working on several up and coming entrepreneurial arts projects.
