Baritone, Andrew Breuninger is from Houston, Texas. Andrew graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with his Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance. Dr. Breuninger also received his Master of Music at Michigan State University, and his Bachelor of Music at Lawrence University, also in Vocal Performance.

 

Most recently, Dr. Breuninger performed as the soloist in Camille Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noêl at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas and his credits also include the title role in  Don Giovanni with the Texas Concert Opera Collective, John Brooke in Mark Adamo’s Little Women and Papageno in W.A Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the University of Texas Butler Opera Center. He has performed in Italy, the UK, France, and various cities in the United States.

Dr. Breuninger has taught students from early ages to adults, from 6 continents, in the genres of classical, musical theatre, opera, jazz, and popular music. He has also taught music theory, and composition lessons. He has taught as a graduate assistant at Michigan State University and The University of Texas at Austin. His philosophy is that the goal in music is to achieve beauty, and beauty can be achieved on any level. Dr. Breuninger is very excited to be teaching at the Further Music School to students all around the world!
